More than 130 years of corporate citizenship |
The John Keells Group has a long history of good corporate citizenship. We have always considered it our duty to give back to the communities that have been the backbone of our Group’s success. For more than 130 years this commitment was fulfilled quietly, informally and spontaneously.
Since 2004, and in keeping with global trends, our corporate social responsibilities have taken on formal weight and definition through the appointment of a cross-functional CSR committee who spearheaded the implementation of a focused programme targeting three broad areas: health, education, and the environment. In March 2005 John Keells Social Responsibility Foundation was established as a formal charity to handle the Group’s CSR initiatives and activities. Some of our CSR activities are listed below. |
