Record Breaking Price For Nawalakanda Tea Factory At The Tea Auction Of 12th May, 2009

Nawalakanda Tea Factory in Kahawatte has established an All Time Record Price of Rs.760.00 for a line of Pekoe1 grade at the weekly Colombo Tea Auctions held on 12th May 2009, surpassing the previous record price of Rs.750.00 established on 5th May 2009.
This line was purchased by one of the main Tea Exporters in the Trade M/s Ranfer Teas Pvt. Ltd, and the sale was passed through M/s. John Keells PLC.
