Purchase of 24.6% stake in Central Hospital (Private) Limited

John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH) wishes to announce the purchase of a 24.6% stake in Central Hospital (Private) Limited (CHL) for a consideration of Nine Hundred Million Rupees.
CHL is a new 260 room, state of the art hospital project by the Asiri Group located on Norris Canal Road, Colombo 10. CHL is expected to commence operations in early 2010.
JKH has made this investment through its Capital Investments Division which comes under the John Keells’ Financial Services Industry Group.
