In the leisure and tourism industry, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts operates over 2430 rooms in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, and destination management services are offered through industry pioneers - Walkers Tours and Whittals Travels. The Group’s transportation-sector companies are forerunners in ports, bunkering and logistics services and hold strategic partnerships with Maersk, DHL, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd., and Inchcape Shipping Services.
Keells supermarkets are innovative leaders in the retail industry with the vision of improving the quality of life of the nation, and Elephant House, a 156-year-old domestic consumer foods brand, enjoys dominant market shares in beverages, frozen confectionary, and processed meats.
The Group’s property development and real estate sector strives to build new worlds by developing and marketing creative living, working and entertainment spaces to meet customer needs. The portfolio ranges from luxury living spaces with smart technology, malls and an award-winning golf course, and its flagship project, Cinnamon Life, due to open in the latter part of 2023.
IT and BPO solutions are provided across Sri Lanka, the Middle East and Europe, and the Group’s financial services sector has long-term business partnerships with IBM and SAP. The Group also encourages Sri Lankan entrepreneurs through its start-up accelerator, John Keells X. The portfolio within the Group’s financial services sector includes stock broking, life insurance through Union Assurance and banking through the associate company Nations Trust Bank.
JKH is a full member of the World Economic Forum and is a Member of the Global Compact of the United Nations-sponsored international corporate citizenship initiative.
