IFC’s SheWorks partnership completes a year of big strides to increase role of women in business

In an event to commemorate the first year of the #SheWorks partnership in Sri Lanka (where the International Finance Corporation – South Asia works with 18 leading employers – including JOHN KEELLS HOLDINGS PLC (JKH), to implement measures proven to enhance employment opportunities for women) on the 3rd of April 2019, Senior Leadership of 5 of the SheWorks member companies (Including Dilani Alagaratnam -President HR, Legal, CSR & Sustainability at JKH) and 16 of the SheWorks Champions (including Kumudu Munasinghe – Head of Corporate Communications at JKH) were brought together to discuss the areas of increasing women’s business leadership, ensuring recruitment and retention of female talent, exploring employer-supported childcare, promoting anti-sexual harassment mechanisms, and supporting women in the value chain.
